During our August 2026 Needs Assessment, we visited Hybrid Social Solutions along with Acts of Love. Their technology and community connections will further our work.

In August, we surveyed a remote village with a current solar set-up to understand the strengths and issues. We interviewed leaders, teachers, parents, and students to understand their struggles and how solar has changed their lives.

I'm grateful to have been named a Filipino National Historical Society Scholar. I had the opportunity to share Lumora Project, our goals, and plans. I presented to a group of 50 attendees. 

I attended the biennial Filipino National Historical Society Conference where I learned from Filipinos across the globe on our history, culture, and current issues. I was proud to be surrounded by so many incredible Filipinos and celebrate our homeland together. 

I spent two weeks focusing on environmental science at Kean University in New Jersey. I did hands-on research and experiments to further the knowledge of Lumora. The main topics covered in the time I was there were entomology, drones, and environmental science. 

I share learnings from my two-weeks at Kean University and our immersive experience learning how to fly a drone, conducting research in lake, and tracking a decaying pig fetus. I also share the aquatic lake research we conducted.

Conducted research to pinpoint optimal panel designs and tilt angles for maximum solar capture across unpredictable weather conditions. Applying these empirical findings ensures our real-world school installations operate at peak efficiency year-round.

We produced The Lumora Project's launch video to capture our vision of equipping remote, off-grid schools with clean solar energy.

The video highlights how replacing hazardous candles with reliable solar arrays unlocks endless potential for students.
